On the afternoon of May 4, 2023, which marked Youth Day, the CPC Committee of Nanjing University (NJU) School of Marxism and the General Party Branch of Nanjing University Hospital held a ceremony of pairing-up and co-building on NJU Xianlin Campus. Over fifty people attended the event, including Tang Shaoqiu (secretary of the General Party Branch and the Director of Nanjing University Hospital), Cheng Hao (deputy secretary of the General Party Branch and deputy director of Nanjing University Hospital), Sun Xiufang (deputy director of Nanjing University Hospital), Wang Jianhua (secretary of the CPC Committee of NJU School of Marxism), Hu Daping (dean of NJU School of Marxism), as well as representatives from both organizations who are members of the Party. Shi Yu, the deputy secretary of the CPC Committee of NJU School of Marxism, presided over the ceremony.
Ceremony of pairing-up and co-building
First, Tang Shaoqiu provided basic information regarding the General Party Branch of Nanjing University Hospital. She indicated that this pairing-up and co-building program could inspire the Party building work of Nanjing University Hospital. Tang urged both organizations to exchange their experiences, learn from each other, continuously enhance their Party building capabilities, and elevate the level of Party building.
Hu Daping emphasized that this program is significant as it marks a new beginning and journey towards “advancing in the style of Nanjing University”. He expected CPC members of both organizations to have “firm ideals and good health” via the pair-up and co-building program.
In the presence of CPC members of both organizations, Wang Jianhua and Tang Shaoqiu signed the agreement on pairing up and co-building for Party building on behalf of their respective CPC committees.
Wang Jianhua concluded the signing ceremony with optimism, stating that the future co-building efforts hold great promise. The program is expected to strengthen the talent pool of both organizations further and facilitate resource integration and sharing. He hoped the collaboration in Party building between the organizations would lead to sharing complementary advantages, mutual improvement and support, as well as win-win outcomes.
Seminar
After the ceremony, Tang Shaoqiu delivered a report titled “Interpretation of Policies for Staff Medical Insurance”. The report is divided into four sections: participation and contribution, medical insurance benefits, medical treatment covered by medical insurance, and supplementary medical insurance. During her presentation, Tang provided attendees with detailed information about the claims process, coverage and benefits, site-off medical treatment, etc. In addition, she offered twelve tips to the faculty and staff for participating in the medical insurance program. The faculty and staff were educated on legal aspects of medical insurance participation, as well as tips for easier doctor visits, hospitalization, claims processing and purchasing medication. During the Q&A session after her report, Tang answered questions from faculty and staff about medical insurance claims.
Pairing up for party building leads to progress, while attracting talent shapes the future. The CPC Committee of NJU School of Marxism and the General Party Branch of Nanjing University Hospital will work together to implement the guiding principles of the 20th National Congress of the CPC through fully playing the core and guiding role of primary-level Party building, with the aim to enhance their joint efforts of Party building by complementing each other’s strengths, sharing resources,negotiation, and cooperating in organizing activities.
